Black History Month 2023

Black History Month is an annual observance that originated in the United States. It is also known as African-American History Month. In February 2023, the theme was Black Resistance, which explored how African Americans fought against historical and ongoing oppression. To commemorate Black History Month 2023, we created a collection of custom USPS stamps featuring hand-drawn portraits of significant historical figures. Our goal was to celebrate the importance of this month in a way that could reach people worldwide and spread its message far and wide. That's why we opted for stamps, which are recognized globally. We also used the iconic color scheme associated with the movement to create this set of stamps that would appeal to any philatelist.
