Memrify is a versatile mobile app that excels in securing important memories while simplifying daily life with its note-taking and reminder capabilities. Designed for individuals from all walks of life, Memrify acts as a digital repository for both significant and mundane moments, ensuring that no detail is lost amidst the hustle and bustle of daily activities.

Challenge

Despite its robust functionality, Memrify struggled with a disjointed brand identity that failed to resonate with its diverse user base. The absence of a cohesive visual language made it challenging for the brand to communicate its core values and engage with a key segment of its audience—families with children. The app's interface and brand imagery did not adequately reflect its commitment to preserving the joy of life's spontaneous and treasured moments, resulting in an underwhelming user experience.

Solution

Sketchy Digital embarked on a journey to reimagine Memrify's visual identity, aiming to infuse warmth, reliability, and charm into its brand narrative. We developed a suite of hand-drawn illustrations characterized by soft pastels, embodying the gentleness and optimism at the heart of memory keeping. This illustrative style not only elevated the user interface but also made the app more approachable and delightful to interact with.

A logo to remember

The Memrify logo is crafted with a modern, minimalist approach, employing a clean sans-serif typeface. The standout feature of the design is the stylized letter 'M,' which cleverly doubles as an elephant's trunk. This creative twist not only incorporates an element of the brand's mascot into the text but also adds a memorable and distinctive flair to the logo.

Typography

Modern and readable

Memrify employs the Blinker font for headings and Montserrat for body text, establishing a balanced and dynamic typographic hierarchy. The geometric design and clean lines of Blinker give the headings a modern and welcoming feel, making a statement and capturing the reader's attention. Montserrat, on the other hand, is used for body text, offering a sans-serif clarity and readability that complements Blinker. Blinker and Montserrat strike a harmonious balance between visual impact and functional legibility, contributing to a cohesive and user-friendly brand experience.
